IU and Park Seo-joon

“Dream” was supposed to be on the big screen last year, but has been postponed until 2021 due to the pandemic.

The film began shooting in May 2020. The film’s director, Lee Byung-heon, best known for his other films such as Extreme Job and What a Man Wants, said his upcoming film will be about the Homeless World Cup, an award given annually to soccer teams that is also international.

The characters are Yoon Hong-dae (played by Park Seo-joon), a professional soccer player caught in the middle of an immediate scandal and placed on parole. Hong-dae then becomes the coach of a very strange football team made up of homeless people. He has to train the team for an upcoming tournament. After a while, his resentment towards the team becomes a real concern as he grows as a leader.

IU will play the role of Lee So-min. So-min is a director and producer who longs for success. She believes her hit will be a documentary about the coaches of the Hong-dae homeless team.

In addition, this will be the singer-songwriter’s debut in a movie. Given her brilliance in acting over previous dramas like Hotel del Luna, everyone expects her to do great.

Details of when this film will be out will not be released yet, but it will surely hit theaters in 2021.
