As part of a new monthly series, the American Booksellers Association’s IndieCommerce team hosted a webinar on January 27th entitled “Web Design 101: Creating Clean, High-Converting Websites”.
Presented by Chanthee Keokhaw and Murray Sampson of ABA, the webinar covered the basics of using the themes and templates feature on IndieCommerce websites. IndieCommerce offers more than 20 different templates that stores can use to create a more modern website.
Out-of-the-box themes have been reviewed by the IndieCommerce team and are ready to use right away. These topics are responsive and mobile friendly. Not only are they maintained and updated by IndieCommerce developers to ensure compatibility with new features.
The IndieCommerce team improves on these themes over time as well. Examples of theme improvements include: adding built-in social media icons; Extension of the search form in certain regions; Adding simple slideshow settings; Adding additional regions and color options; and adding a hamburger icon for mobile menus.
