What is consistent with digital marketing is that the platforms are constantly changing. Once you start using Facebook, Twitter, WordPress, Google, or Instagram for your business, they tweak a bit – sometimes for the better, sometimes good … not so much – and marketers have to learn how to use the version has been updated again .

If you are a digital marketer in the Bay Area, you’ll also learn new tools and relearn old tools like Google Analytics and Facebook Ads as they change. It’s a constant effort.

But it’s only part of the job.

I’ve spoken to some of my social media and digital marketing friends here in North Bay and made a list of preferred resources to get new information.

Right now, podcasts seem to be the medium from which everyone – at least the one I’ve spoken to – gets their information. While podcasts have been around for a while, they’ve seen a listener resurgence lately, and now there are podcasts for every niche. You can listen online through Spotify, iTunes, Stitcher and sometimes the video of the podcast conversation on YouTube.

Some of my personal favorite podcasts are marketing-oriented, and I found that many of my marketing buddies feel the same way.
