In the first part, Eli Feldblum and I talked about the good old days. He left a company he co-founded and now works for Search Interactions. He performs proactive reputation management for emerging names and brands.
Now he’s all corporate and professional, and he’s “matured” and our industry has matured and grown up. This is a good thing for the industry, he said. And now, unlike some old days, there is real value in search engine optimization. The old days weren’t like that and there was a terrible user experience in search and on the web – now it’s not.
SEO matured because Google forced us to mature. We talked about a few examples of how to examine Google search results and then fight back. All of this meant that we had more experience in our careers.
