Google’s John Mueller said when it comes to breadcrumbs, the links you see on pages that tell you where you clicked, the placement and location of those breadcrumbs don’t really matter to SEO. John said, “No, ranking doesn’t matter to SEO.”
“We use breadcrumbs for crawling (finding internal links) and for rich results (structured data). Neither of these depends on the placement of the breadcrumbs,” said John. But where you put those breadcrumbs on your page doesn’t matter for SEO purposes as long as Google can find them, he said.
