As the world digitizes rapidly, advertisers and marketers are redesigning their strategies to penetrate the new age digital market. Campaigns are no longer than life and only broadcast to homes during prime time. Today, brands are becoming more connected to consumers through well-designed, interactive content. In this ecosystem, a new need for expertise has risen that could help brands build a strong online presence. Entrepreneur Raphael Gnn is a social media marketer who focuses his energies on meeting this demand. Its social media marketing agency incubator program, Ace up Media, is helping brands build their own social media agency to build successful online campaigns. He talks to us about Ace up Media, his success and plans for the future.
What is an SMMA Incubator?
Because online marketing takes precedence over traditional marketing, entrepreneurs spend more on online campaigns. This has led to an increase in the talent pool. Today we have a gig economy. Content writers, art directors, and digital strategists are a dozen. While this is a good thing for brands, getting them all to work together is very difficult. Working with freelancers can be daunting. SMMA start-up centers want to give structure to this highly disorganized company.
Do you have formal training in social media marketing?
No, I picked up the ropes myself. I started this business when I was 18 years old. In the beginning I had to do a lot of odd jobs to generate income to start this project of building Ace.
What is your experience so far?
We have grown steadily over the years. We generated over 2 million euros. Our current turnover is around 200 euros per month. Our team is growing steadily. We have a team of 12.
In addition to training, do you help brands with their social media marketing needs?
Yes, we’ve helped over 52 brands create content, engage meaningfully with their customers, and grow their market share in France.
What are your plans for the future?
My current focus is on an international market. We are gaining importance on the international market. Many interested parties from overseas have shown interest in our offers. They like the way we work and our professionalism. My goal is to make Ace a global name.
What have you learned from your previous experience?
I’ve learned that if you are focused and determined, the goal is never too far away. I started very small, with no knowledge or training. I was able to build my company through observation and application. That I have learned.
