It seems like the time has come for South Korean star Park Seo Joon to switch to superhero mode as reports suggest he has officially joined the cast of Marvel’s upcoming film, The Marvels.

Months after it was first reported that the actor was being considered for his first Marvel film, an IMDB update has apparently confirmed his role in the highly anticipated film.

Park Seo Joon’s name was featured on the film’s official page alongside Brie Larson, Zawe Ashton, Teyonah Parris, and Iman Vellani. He is now the third Korean actor to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While Brie will play Captain Marvel, Iman will play as Ms Marvel and Zawe as the main villain, the role of Park Seo Joon is still a mystery. However, according to fan theories and several media reports, there is speculation that the star could rise into the ranks of the heroes and play Amadeus Cho aka Brawn. The buzz is that he could also bring a version of Marvel Boy to life on the big screen with this upcoming movie.

Captain Marvel ‘was the MCU’s first female superhero film to hit the box office with an estimated $ 1.13 billion in collection.

There’s a lot going on on ‘The Marvels’ in the MCU as not only was the sequel to ‘Captain Marvel’ a box office hit, but it also got the ball rolling for new characters who will take over the Marvel franchise onwards. Seo-Joon’s role in this film is said to be “huge” for the South Korean star as it marks his big debut in mainstream American cinema.

“Captain Marvel 2: The Marvels” is set to premiere on November 11, 2022.
