“I founded Eternity in 2000 with a mission to provide world-class web design and marketing services to local businesses and nonprofits that needed them most.” – Mike Lannen

Eternity has been in operation since 2000. Mike Lannen started the company from his dorm room at Champlain College, where he was a full-time student freelancing website designs for local nonprofits and corporations. When his passion got out of hand, he eventually left Champlain College to pursue his web career full-time and step into Eternity. In 2008, Mollie joined Mike as a co-owner, which in its current form brings us to Eternity with a 9-person crew.

The Eternity crew works with customers from across New England and across the country.

Mollie Lannen is an entrepreneur, graphic designer, programmer, volunteer, and community activist. Born and raised in Barre, VT, Mollie brings passion and ambition to be successful in everything she does. Mollie co-owns Eternity and she couldn’t be happier to run such an incredible award-winning crew with her husband Mike. Mollie is not only the super mom of her two daughters Ella and Claire, she also enjoys gardening, is outside and drinks delicious coffee in her everyday life. Her career has been impressive to say the least. Mollie has been an active member of Queen City BNI in Burlington, VT since 2016, where she is currently serving in her second term as Vice President. In addition to being a co-owner of Eternity, Mollie is also President of CW Print + Design – a women-run digital printing company that provides professional printing services to individuals and small businesses.

Mollie is more than proud to be the co-owner and CFO of Eternity alongside Mike. Embodiment and inclusion of female leadership and representation in every role she performs brings joy and passion into everything she does. Her professional history serves as an inspiration to all women who know her and work with her. Mollie is grateful to lead Eternity, whose crew is 50% women, and looks forward to taking the company further and up for the years to come.

There is a lot to do in terms of representation in the world of technology. A 2020 study by the institute found that women make up only 28.8% of technical occupations and careers. It cannot be denied that women are severely underrepresented in the tech industry and that it is the job of web design and technology teams to ensure that women’s skills are nurtured and their voices heard. There is a need to change, and the only way to make real change happen is to actively learn how to get better and what needs to be done.

Eternity is proud to be part of this active change. Having a strong female workforce is a step in the right direction and they pride themselves on continually growing, developing and strengthening themselves as a team. Since co-owner Mollie Lannen is as motivated, competent and committed as any other man in the industry – she is living proof that it is always worth chasing your dreams, regardless of social norms. She is the true embodiment of leading by doing.

Eternity’s advocacy for women in the tech industry doesn’t stop with leadership. The company is actively developing to represent women in the industry by hiring women for other typically male-dominated positions. From 2021, the team reached a milestone of exactly 50/50 with the gender representation of the team. You have a strong commitment to working on projects with customers who share the same values in this much-needed area of representation.

“We want more women to be represented in these roles as we continue to grow. There are many representation issues in this industry that need to be addressed and resolved, and it takes active listening and conscious action to make real change happen. ”-Mollie Lannen
